Window and Glass Cleaning in Al Ain

The two things that ruin glass here

Dust film. Fine airborne dust settles continuously and bonds lightly to the glass. Wiped dry it smears; wiped with plain water it leaves a residue. It needs to be flooded and lifted rather than rubbed, which is why a proper job uses more water than people expect.

Irrigation spotting — the one nobody talks about. Al Ain is a heavily planted, heavily irrigated city, and a sprinkler head aimed even slightly wrong will hit glass repeatedly, day after day. The water evaporates in the heat and leaves mineral deposits behind. Over months those deposits build into hard spotting that ordinary cleaning will not remove, and if left long enough they etch the glass surface permanently.

If you have persistent spots on ground floor windows on the garden side, that is almost certainly what it is. It can usually be removed if caught in time. The permanent fix is repositioning the sprinkler — which we can do, since we also handle irrigation. Cleaning without moving the sprinkler means the spots return.

Sandstorm etching. After severe conditions, wind-driven sand can leave fine surface abrasion. That is physical damage rather than soiling and it does not clean off.

Working at height — where we stop

Ground floor and safely reachable upper glazing is straightforward. Beyond that, façade cleaning is specialist work requiring specific equipment, training and permits. If a job needs access we cannot provide safely, we will say so and decline rather than improvise. Improvised working at height is how people are killed, and no window is worth it.

Frequency

• Villas — every one to three months, depending on exposure and whether irrigation reaches the glass
• Offices — monthly to quarterly externally, internally more often
• Shopfronts — weekly or fortnightly. It is the first thing customers see
• After sandstorms — as needed, and sooner rather than later, since deposits are easier to remove before they bond

Anyone promising glass that stays clean for months in Al Ain is overselling. Realistic frequency is part of an honest quote.
